The Dutch Social Security Bank released on Monday, January the 28th, the list with the most popular baby names of 2018 in the Netherlands.
The list was topped by the name «Lucas» for baby boys and «Julia» for female newborns. However, some people think that the name chosen by the Dutch Social Security Bank was not really the one that should top the 2018 popular baby names list.
The name «Mohamed» has several variants, including «Mohamad», «Mohamed», «Mohammed», «Mohammad», «Muhammad», and «Muhammed», that it couldn’t make it to the top of the list, points out Dutch online newspaper Geenstijl.
But counting the score of every variant the name «Mohamed» has in the Netherlands makes of it the most popular name in the country, chosen 694 times more than «Lucas» which was chosen only 684 times.
