Hotels and destinations in Morocco and Mauritius top a ranking for the African continent, according to a 2019 list compiled by American travel and restaurant website company TripAdvisor, reports EastAfrican.
The 2019 Travelers’ Choice Awards is based on «reviews and opinions of people who rate facilities they visited in the past year», the same source said.
Riad Kheirredine in Marrakech is one of the top luxury hotels in Africa, according to the ranking, which reported that it is an oasis of tranquility mixing Moroccan architecture and Italian design.
Marrakech tops the list of the top 25 African destinations, followed by Zanzibar in Tanzania, South Africa’s Cape Town, Fez and Essaouira, Kenya’s Nairobi, Mauritius’ Grand Baie, Tanzania’s Arisha and the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
The 2019 Travelers' Choice Awards is the only award in the travel industry that relies on millions of opinions and from travelers around the world, concludes The EastAfrican.
