A young Moroccan woman was killed in a violent fire that ravaged an apartment building in the 16th arrondissement of Paris on Monday night, says Wednesday a Moroccan consular source in the French capital.
The death of M.I, 24 years old, who lived in the building, was confirmed by police sources at the Moroccan Consulate General in Paris.
A woman was arrested on suspicion of starting a fire that swept through the eight-storey apartment building, killing at least 10 people and injuring 30 others, including eight firefighters. She was taken into custody.
It was the worst fire in Paris in 14 years.
French interior minister, Christophe Castaner, said firefighters had entirely risked their own lives to save 50 people from the apartment block.
