While several ministers announced that they are attending this week an international conference co-chaired by Poland and the United States to promote peace in the Middle East in Warsaw, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he hopes to meet Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Morocco.
Quoted by Turkish news agency Anadolu, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority (IBA) announced that Netanyahu’s office «hopes to arrange several meetings on the event’s sidelines, including interviews with Moroccan FM Nasser Bourita and the latter’s Bahraini counterpart, Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa».
The Israeli Prime Minister arrived Tuesday in the Polish capital to take part in the anti-Iran conference. Around 60 delegations, including a Moroccan one led by Nasser Bourita, will attend the conference to take place on Wednesday and Thursday in Poland.
Although the Palestinian National Authority called on Arabs to boycott the US conference in Warsaw,the Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz announced, Monday, that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are invited to the Warsaw meeting.
The information comes after the Moroccan government said that reports suggesting that Netanyahu is visiting Morocco in March are just «rumors».
