National police DGSN got an official Twitter account as part of its initiatives to further the openness of its services and reinforce institutional communication with the public.

Aware of the importance of media coverage of security-related information in order to reinforce the feeling of security, the DGSN strives to diversify its communication mechanisms and strengthen its openness to all citizens as well as foreign tourists and residents, it said in a statement.

This new approach of DGSN is an addition to the publication of the new issue of the police magazine in paper format, the same source added, announcing the upcoming e-version of the magazine on mobile phones.

DGNS recalled the institutionalization and the police's open door policy as an annual event for direct communication with the general public, in addition to improving information and daily updates via official press releases on all issues relating to the security of citizens, the statement concluded.
