Moroccan gastronomy will be at the heart of the 11th edition of the DC Embassy Chef Challenge, a competition that features chefs from different countries and cultures in the world, MAP news agency reports.
Two Moroccan chefs, namely Faycal Zahraoui and Yassine Khellal, will compete with other cooks from more than thirty accredited diplomatic missions in the US. The culinary competition was attended, last year, by 1,500 people.
Organized at the prestigious Ronald Reagan Building by DC Events, the organization responsible for promoting various events in the US federal capital, the event serves as a platform for chefs from different nationalities to showcase the wealth and diversity of the world.
Morocco won the Best Dressed Embassy prize last year. In 2017, Chef Mouha Fedal won the Jury Prize for a Tangia Marrakchia dish with an exquisite blend of flavors.
