During the meeting, which took place on Friday, Mohamed Benchaaboun and Lagarde welcomed the progress of preparations for the organization of the 2021 IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Marrakesh.
In this regard, the Minister reaffirmed Morocco's commitment to ensuring the success of this important event, said a statement from this department.
This meeting was also an occasion to recall the efforts made by Morocco in economic and financial matters, according to the same source.
Benchaaboun underscored the Kingdom's will to continue reforms, under the new development model, with the aim of promoting job creation, strengthening human capital and creating levers to further involve the private sector.
IMF Managing Director hailed the performance of the Moroccan economy and the relevance of the country's policies, and reaffirmed the Fund's support for Morocco's efforts to speed up the implementation of reforms and promote a stronger and more inclusive growth.
