Morocco won the Best Pavilion Award at the 26th Arabian Travel Market (ATM) for its outstanding design of a riad (traditional Moroccan house).
The director of the regional representation of the Moroccan Office of Tourism (ONMT) in Abu Dhabi Mohamed Sadek Chaker told MAP, that the choice of the Moroccan pavilion among 365 others is a reward for the traditional Moroccan architectural art.
The Moroccan pavilion has attracted a large public including tourism operators from the Gulf countries and media representatives covering the fair, he added.
The 26th edition of the Arabian Travel Market opened, on Sunday in Dubai, with the participation of more than 2,800 travel specialists from 90 Arab and foreign countries, including Morocco.
Morocco is represented at the ATM, a leading event in the world of tourism industry, by the ONMT which uses such events to promote the destination of Morocco.
The Moroccan pavilion stretches over an area of 220 m2 and features the main national destinations with stands for prestigious Moroccan hotels, national travel agencies and the ONMT.
