Qatar Airways to launch three weekly flights to Rabat

Qatar Airways, the state-owned flag carrier of Qatar, is expected to launch three weekly flights to Rabat, the company announced this week after signing a joint business agreement with Morocco’s Royal Air Maroc.

The Qatari firm will be operating flights in Rabat via Marrakech and daily trips to Casablanca TTR Weekly reported.

Commenting on this project, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said : «We are pleased to launch this new gateway, while also increasing our presence in the country by expanding our joint business agreement with Royal Air Maroc. Our expansion in Morocco demonstrates our commitment to the region, which began in 2002».

For the record, Qatar Airways operates five weekly flights from Doha to Marrakech via Casablanca, the same source said. The new agreement signed with Royal Air Maroc will allow the Qatari company to launch five weekly flights from Casablanca to Doha.
