Romania : Moroccan researcher awarded insignia of Knight of the Order for science progress

Chairman of the Moroccan School of Engineering Sciences (EMSI), Kamal Daissaoui, was made Saturday in the Romanian city of Iasi, Knight of the Order for the advancement of science and invention.

In a statement to MAP, Daissaoui said that the award was presented to him at the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation (Euroinvent), hosted by Iasi on 16-18 May, «in recognition of his actions in favor of scientific research and innovation».

«It is a great honor for Morocco and a pride for me», said Daissaoui, who is a graduate and doctor of Computer Science at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in France.

Daissaoui started his career as a research professor at this prestigious university in 1981, before joining the Hassania School of Engineering in Casablanca in 1983.
