Polisario’s militias arrested, Monday, one of the members of the «Sahrawi Initiative for Change» (SIC), an opposition movement launched in the Tindouf camps.
Moulay Abba Bouzid was arrested while taking part in a sit-in staged in the «Samara camp» in front of the delegation of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
The sit-in was organized to by Sahrawi activists, who called for free movement and dignified living conditions. Bouzid’s arrest was confirmed by pro-Polisario news outlet Futuro Sahara and a Sahrawi Association which tweeted about it.
For the record, SIC was launched in November 2017 as an opposition group within the Tindouf camps. It is chaired by El Hadj Ahmed Barakallah, the brother of the Polisario’s former representative at the UN Front Bukhari Ahmed, who died in April 2018.
