Panama's new president receives Moroccan head of government

Panama's new president, Laurentino Nito Cortizo, received, on Monday in Panama City, head of government, Saadeddine El Othmani.

The audience took place at the end of the inauguration ceremony of the new Panamanian head of State, during which El Ohtmani represented King Mohammed VI.

«The meeting with Cortizo was friendly. I conveyed the greetings and congratulations of HM the King to the new president and the people of Panama», the head of government told the press after the audience.

El Othmani also said that he had expressed to Cortizo Morocco's determination to develop and diversify bilateral relations in different areas, adding that this meeting also focused on «political relations as well as on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara».

The new president of Panama has expressed his willingness to develop these ties in the service of the interests of both peoples and countries.
