Coast guards of the Royal Navy assisted, on Thursday night, 330 would-be immigrants who were trying to cross the Strait of Gibraltar aboard small boats, a military source said.

The immigrants, mostly sub-Saharan nationals, including women, minors and children, were brought safe and sound to the ports of Nador and Ksar Sghir, after receiving the necessary health care by the Royal Navy units, the source added.

Thursday night was marked by several illegal immigration attempts in several zones of Morocco's Mediterranean coasts.
