King Mohammed VI sent a congratulations message to Algerian President Abdelkader Bensalah following the victory of the Algerian national football team which won the Africa Cup of Nations (Egypt 2019).
In this message, the king said he was glad to express to the brotherly Algerian people, on the occasion of the well-deserved win by the national football team in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2019 hosted in the sister nation of Egypt, his heartfelt congratulations for this continental football breakthrough.
The sovereign went on saying «on this historic occasion, I am pleased, on my behalf and that of all the Moroccan people, to share pride with the brotherly Algerian people over this deserved breakthrough, especially since the victory of a brotherly and neighbouring Maghreb country is similar to that of Morocco».
«Following this outsanding sport accomplishment, I extend to the brotherly Algerian people and all the components of its national team, players, and technical, medical and administrative staff, my heartfelt feelings of esteem for this high-level technical performance and competition spirit shown by this ambitious team during the games of this special African championship», the king said.
