Body of law enforcement officer bearing traces of bullet fired from shotgun found in Laayoune

The body of a law enforcement officer with the rank of Caid was found Monday morning at the Addoha subdivision in the city of Laayoune, bearing the traces of a bullet fired from a shotgun, according to the local authorities of the wilaya of the Laayoune-Sakia Al Hamra region, pointing out that the body was found near the service car used by the deceased.

The local authorities and the technical and forensic police services intervened to carry out the preliminary findings, adds the same source, noting that the remains of the deceased, who was in charge of Caïdat El Hagounia in Tarfaya Province, were transferred to the regional hospital of Laayoune for autopsy.

An investigation was opened by the security services under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office in order to clarify the circumstances and causes of this death.
