Tata : Mentally ill Man slightly wounds two French tourists

A mentally ill individual attacked, on Tuesday, the residents of a tourist hostel located in Fam El Hisn commune (Tata province), wounding them slightly with a knife at the head and hand, local authorities in the province of Tata said.

The victims (a father and his daughter of French nationality) were rushed to the regional hospital of Agadir to receive the necessary health care, said the same source, adding that the individual also torched the office of the hostel manager.

The attacker, with a criminal record and who was, on several occasions and for a long time, institutionalized at the psychiatric hospital, was taken for investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.
