Morocco is determined to cooperate with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to move forward in several areas of common interest, head of government, Saad Dine El Otmani, said Tuesday in Rabat.

During talks with UNESCO Regional Director, Golda El Khoury, El Otmani said that the Kingdom is set to cooperate with UNESCO with the aim of making progress in various areas, which are among the top priorities of the Moroccan government, namely education, culture and youth, said a statement issued by the Department of the Head of Government.

For her part, El Khoury commended Morocco's contribution to ensure the success of UNESCO-led projects through the effective involvement of the governmental departments and the relevant institutions.

She also shed light on UNESCO's programs and projects that will be implemented in Morocco.

The two sides agreed on increasing efforts to meet common objectives and strengthen Morocco's position within the organization at the regional and international levels.
