Ivanka Trump, daughter and advisor to the US President, lauded the adoption by Morocco of a new legislative framework on the Sulaliyate lands which ensures more equality and openness to investments for the benefit of women.

In February 2019, President Trump established the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative, the first whole-of-government effort to advance global women’s economic empowerment.
W-GDP seeks to reach 50 million women in the developing world by 2025 through U.S. government activities, private-public partnerships, and a new, innovative fund.
The draft law on the organization of the administrative supervision of the Sulaliyate communities has come up with fundamental novelties.
It limits the use of traditions in the management and exploitation of the assets of these communities in compliance with legislative texts and tends to encourage the productive investment of wealth, employment and self-employment in these communities while promoting equality between women and men, members of these communities, in the rights and duties, in accordance with the Constitution.
