Policemen foiled Friday early in the morning an attempt to smuggle 700 kg of cannabis resin (Chira) at the coast of the northern city of Asilah.
A car loaded with 700 kg of cannabis resin was seized near the city's coast, in addition to 5 mobile phones, national police (DGSN) said in a statement, adding that a 19-year-old man was arrested and is suspected of belonging to an international drug-trafficking criminal network.
The suspect was placed in custody while investigations are underway to identify all the people involved in this drug-trafficking attempt, the source added.
