World Taekwondo Grand Prix : Moroccan Nada Laarej wins a silver medal

Morocco's Nada Laaraj won, Friday, the silver medal in the under 57kg category at the 2019 World Taekwondo Grand Prix, which is being held in Chiba, Japan.

The Moroccan champion won the silver medal, an unprecedented achievement in the history of Moroccan participation in the Grand Prix, after losing in the final to Turkey's Kurba Ilgun with a score of 4-3.

This result allowed the Moroccan athlete to accumulate 24 points, ranking 11th in the international ranking, which will increase her chances of qualifying for the next qualifier round of the Olympic games, scheduled for 2020 in Tokyo.
