New York : Moroccan foreign minister holds talks with Turkish counterpart

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, held, Monday at UN headquarters in New York, talks with his Turkish peer, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, on means to strengthen cooperation between Morocco and Turkey.

«We had constructive discussions during which we reiterated our commitment to our bilateral relations», the Turkish FM told reporters at the end of the talks.

«Morocco, Turkey's sister country, is of great importance to the Muslim world, Africa and the Mediterranean region», Çavuşoğlu added.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the participation of the minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the high-level week of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
