Spanish-Moroccan striker Nabil Touaizi chooses to play for the Atlas Lions

Moroccan-Spanish striker Nabil Touaizi has opted to represent the Morocco national team after, BBC Sport reports.

The Manchester City’s player will soon join the Atlas Lions' squad for two friendlies, expected to take place in October against Libya and October.

Born in Spain to Moroccan parents, the 18-year-old player has obviously swapped national allegiances to Morocco after he played for Spain at under-17 level.

The same source reveals that Touaizi «has been in contact» with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation during the recent months to sort the «necessary paperwork».

For the record, the international player joined Manchester’s City in 2017 after he played for Valencia, a Spanish club.
