The bodies of seven Moroccan citizens, candidates for irregular immigration, were discovered on Saturday morning on the Ain Harrouda beach, said the authorities of the prefecture of Mohammadia.

The bodies of the victims, including that of a woman, washed up on the beach located in the region of Ain Harrouda, and were discovered after their inflatable boat ran aground, they said.

Three other survivors were found unconscious and were rushed to the provincial hospital of Mohammadia where they received the necessary health care, they added, noting that all necessary means were mobilized to find possible other individuals who were aboard the boat.

An investigation was initiated by the competent services under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office to shed light on the organization of this illegal immigration operation.
