Moroccan journalist Hajar Raissouni, accused of undergoing an abortion and of having sex outside marriage, was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 500 dirhams, Monday, by a first instance court in Rabat, her lawyer Mohamed Sadko told Yabiladi.
Her fiancé, a Sudanese national, received as well a one-year prison sentence and was fined 500 dirhams, while her gynecologist was sentenced to two years in prison and was suspended for tow years. Raissouni’s lawyer told Yabiladi that they will appeal against the decision.
