Senegal has won the «Cous Cous World Championship» held during the Cous Cous Fest in San Vito lo Capo, a small seaside town in northwestern Sicily.
According to Italian media, Dakar-native chef Mareme Cisse and her eldest son Falilou Diouf were behind the dish that won the competition, held in September.
Representatives from Morocco, Tunisia, Italy, the United States and Israel have also participated in the competition. For the record, Tunisia won the 2018 edition of the competition.
