Policemen at the Marrakech Menara airport arrested on Sunday, red-handed, a 22-year-old Brazilian citizen while engaging in cocaine trafficking.
The suspect was arrested upon his arrival in Morocco from Lisbon airport in Portugal in possession of 600 grams of cocaine, concealed in his sports shoes, said a statement from the National Police (DGSN), adding that the ultrasound checkup showed the existence of several capsules of the same drug in his intestines.
The suspect was put under medical supervision at the hospital to remove the cocaine capsules, pending a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office in order to shed light on this case and identify its possible ramifications at the national and international levels, the same source added.
