Police at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca arrested, on Friday, two Tunisian women for their alleged involvement in an international drug trafficking attempt.
The two suspects, aged 24 and 27, were arrested as they were about to leave Morocco on a flight to Tunis airport, the national police (DGSN) said in a statement, adding that preventive control operations resulted in the seizure of 11,460 kg of chira hidden under their clothing.
They were remanded in police custody to complete the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office to determine the ins and outs of this case, added the same source.
