Police seized Wednesday morning 1.138 tonne of cannabis resin near the city of Errachidia and arrested two people for their alleged links to an international drug trafficking network.
The two suspects were arrested on board two vehicles at the Guir Bridge, 80 km from the town of Boudnib, national police said in a statement, adding that 1.138 tonne of cannabis resin were seized, in addition to false registration plates.
The suspects, aged 21 and 29, were placed on custody while investigations are underway to identify all the suspects involved in this criminal network.
