Policemen seized Thursday morning 5.070 tonnes of cannabis resin in the north-eastern city of Nador.
The banned substance was concealed in a Morocco-registered car, national police said in a statement, adding that the driver is on the run.
Police are conducting a search operation to arrest the suspect, the source said, adding that investigations are underway to identify all the suspects involved in this case.
This security operation is part of efforts made by national police to fight against drug-trafficking criminal networks.
