Police arrest suspect for links to international drug trafficking network in northern Morocco

Judicial police in the northern city of Larache arrested, on Thursday, a 60-year-old individual for his alleged links with a criminal network active in international drug trafficking.

A statement by the national police (DGSN) points out that the suspect was caught red-handed while trafficking one ton and 49 kg of chira packed in 30 large bundles inside a refrigerated truck.

The suspect was held in police custody to complete the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office in order to identify all the accomplices and individuals involved in the case and to elucidate possible links with international drug trafficking networks, according to the same source.
