In an attempt to start a new life, a young Moroccan woman named Fatima Aboudrar, who suffers from cancer, has decided to leave Morocco for the Canary Islands in a boat with other irregular migrants.
Laayoune-native posted a video on her Facebook account documenting her dangerous trip. She posted a message explaining why she took the decision. «I had no other solution but to risk my life», she wrote, adding that she decided to migrate to get better chances of being cured.
She also explained that it was out of «despair» that she has decided to irregularly reach for the Spanish territory. Indeed, Fatima has managed to reach the Canary Islands.
