Royal Air Maroc to launch new Laayoune and Rabat flights

Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) to launch in March new weekly flights linking the city of Laayoune to the country’s capital, the firm said in a press release sent to Yabiladi on Thursday.

The two flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800s every Monday and Wednesday. Flights from Laayoune will be scheduled for 9:35 am and would arrive in Rabat at 11:10 am. Flights from Rabat to leave the city by 12 pm and arrive in Laayoune by 1:40 am.

In the same press release, RAM announces that it will also connect Laayoune to Marrakech through an additional flight scheduled for every Sunday. Flights from Laayoune to leave the city at 9:35 am and arrive in Marrakech at 10:55 am. Flights leaving from Marrakech will be scheduled at 9:10 pm and will arrive in Laayoune at 10:35 pm.

The latter finally recalls that the inauguration of the Royal Air Maroc air base in Laayoune took place on June 11, 2019. Its implementation came after the conclusion of a partnership agreement between the Council of the Laayoune region Sakia Al Hamra and the national company.
