King Mohammed VI receives the Archbishop of Rabat

King Mohammed VI received, Wednesday at the royal palace, the Archbishop of Rabat Cardinal Cristobal Lopez Romeo, the royal office said in a statement relayed by MAP.

During this meeting, Cardinal Cristobal Lopez Romero expressed to the King his «heartfelt thanks for the very high benevolence shown by the Sovereign in sending a high-level delegation to represent His Majesty the King at the consistory of 5 October 2019 in the Vatican, during which Pope Francis elevate the Archbishop of Rabat to the dignity of Cardinal».

For the record, Pope Francis visited Morocco on 30-31 March 2019.
