The judicial police of Nador succeeded, Thursday on the basis of accurate information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance, to foil an attempt of international drug trafficking and seize 3,382 tonnes of chira.
A statement from the National Police (DGSN) said that these quantities of drugs were seized on board a large car registered in Spain, after it has deviated from the road in an unpaved mountainous area in the Tazaghine region, adding that the owners of the vehicle left it to avoid security control.
The statement said that the Nador judicial police is continuing its investigations, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, to arrest all those implicated in this criminal network, allegedly involved in international drug trafficking.
