After days of quarantine, Moroccans in Wuhan to be repatriated following royal instructions

After the city where they live was put under quarantine, Moroccan nationals living in Wuhan, China, will be repatriated to Morocco following royal instructions, amid the outbreak of a deadly new coronavirus.

The decision was taken, Monday, at the royal palace during a working session presided by King Mohammed VI, a statement by the royal office read.

«HM the King gave his instructions for the repatriation of the hundred Moroccan nationals, mainly students, currently in this province», indicated the same statement relayed Monday evening by MAP news agency.

The King also «ordered the Head of Government and the different officials, each in his field of competence, to ensure adequate monitoring and coordination», the same communiqué added.

This working session was attended by Head of Government Saad Dine El Otmani, Advisor to the King Fouad Ali El Himma, Minister of the Interior Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad Nasser Bourita, Minister of Health Khalid Ait Taleb and Lieutenant General Mohamed Haramou, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie.
