Morocco won the African Karate Championship, held in Tangier on 7-9 Feb, 2020.
The kingdom won 37 medals (15 gold, 13 silver and 9 bronze) ahead of Egypt (2nd) and Algeria (3rd).
Some 400 athletes from 29 African countries took part in the tournament.
The event included the 19th edition of the Senior Championship, the 11th junior Tournament and the 3rd cadet championship.
