Two earthquakes of magnitudes 5.3 and 4.2 on the Richter scale struck the province of Midelt on Sunday, the National Institute for Geophysics (ING) said.
The quakes' epicentre is located in the Ennzala commune, the National Earthquake Surveillance and Alert Network, under the said institute, pointed out in a seismic alert bulletin.
The first earthquake shook the area at 10:56 p.m. (GMT+1), and the next hit at 11:06 p.m., the source added.
