Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport, 4th most important air crossing point in Morocco

The Tangier Ibn Battouta international airport was ranked, during the month of January, as the 4th most important air crossing point in the Kingdom, with a share of 5.55 % of the total air movement in Morocco, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

An ONDA report shows that air movement at Tangier Ibn Battouta airport surpassed that of Fez-Saïss airport, which fell to the 5th position with a share of 5.50%, while the airports of Mohammed V of Casablanca (42.15%), Marrakesh-Menara (25.27%) and Agadir Al Massira (7.93%) remain the top three.

In addition, a total of 111,813 travelers transited through the Tangier International Airport in January, compared to 93,191 passengers in the same month a year earlier, that is an increase of 19.98%.

The passenger traffic in the Tangier Ibn Battouta airport increased by 20.07% in 2019 compared to the previous year, a total of 1,353,860 travelers transited through the international airport of Tangier during the year 2019, against 1,127,573 passengers in 2018.

The Tangier International Airport got a share of 5.40% of the total movement of commercial air traffic in Morocco, which posted an increase of 11.18% in 2019 to reach a record of 25,059,840 passengers.
