The Republic of Burundi inaugurated, Friday, a consulate general in Laayoune, bringing the number of diplomatic representations in the city to six in less than three months.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Burundian counterpart Ezechiel Nibigira chaired the inauguration ceremony of this consulate.
Since the end of last year, Laayoune has seen the inauguration of several diplomatic representations, including those of the Union of the Comoros, Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe and the Central African Republic.
