To avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus, the organizing committee of the African Digital Summit has decided to postpone the fifth edition of the event, scheduled for March 19 and 20, to December 3 and 4, 2020.
The decision is based on the «preventive measures» set by Morocco to counter the spread of the virus. «The decision places the safety of citizens first and ensures that of speakers and participants», organizers said.
The 2020 edition of the annual summit is expected to present the conclusions of an annual study titled «Digital trends Morocco 2020». The event is also expected to host the «Moroccan Digital Awards».
For the record, the Africa Digital Summit is a gathering of digital experts «discussing everything from Mobile, Social, Content, IoT & AI, Search among other engaging topics related to the digital industry in Africa», wrote organizers on the summit’s official website.
