Classified hotels, members of the Meknes-El Hajeb hotel industry association (AIH), have made dozens of rooms available to caregivers, quarantined patients and possible cases of Covid-19 contamination.

The units engaged in this initiative, which is part of the momentum of national solidarity, could mobilize up to 700 beds, president of AIH, Nidal Lahlou, told MAP.

Other hotel units are ready to join the operation, he added, noting that local hotel facilities already house medical teams mobilized in the fight against this global health crisis.

This is a commendable initiative, said Hind Hedda, a doctor at the Mohammed V provincial hospital in Meknes, praising the commitment of the city's hoteliers, who have made their establishments available free of charge to medical, paramedical and administrative staff mobilized in the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
