The city of Casablanca will host a temporary field hospital with a capacity of some 700 beds, as part of the strengthening of health services to cope with the pandemic of the new coronavirus (Covid-19), a statement said Sunday.
The construction work of this facility was launched Saturday on an area of 2,000 m2 at the site of the international Fair of the city and should be completed in two weeks, the statement added.
The project, which requires a budget of 45 million dirhams, was launched at the initiative of the local authorities of the Casablanca-Settat region, in partnership with the regional Council, the communal and prefectural Councils of Casablanca, and in coordination with the regional health directorate.
