74 confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing to 1,448 the total number of Covid-19 infections in Morocco, Mohamed Lyoubi, who heads the infectious diseases department at the Health Ministry, said Friday during a press briefing.
According to the health official, 5,791 suspected coronavirus cases have tested negative for the virus so far.
As for the death toll, Lyoubi said that in total 107 people died after contracting the virus in Morocco while 122 recovered.
The official revealed that the regions of Casabalanca-Settat (30%), Marrakech-Safi (19%), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (15%) and Fes-Meknes (12%) house the highest number of Covid-infections in Morocco.
