Forty-two new Covid-19 cases were recorded in Morocco over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases in the country to 7,643, the Ministry of Health said Thursday.
A total of 217 Covid-19 patients have recovered over the given period until Thursday at 6 p.m., which rises the number of cured people to 5,195, Dr Mouad Mrabet, head of the National Center for Emergency Operations at the Ministry of Health, said in a statement broadcast by MAP on its M24 TV channel and RIM Radio.
No new coronavirus related death was registered over the past 24 hours and the number of fatalities remains at 202, he added.
The ministry of Health urges citizens to observe rules of hygiene, implement the precautionary measures issued by the public authorities, act with responsibility and show patriotism.
