Mosques will reopen in due course and in close coordination with the Ministry of Health and the relevant authorities, while taking into account the epidemiological situation in the country, said Wednesday the Supreme Council of Ulema.
The temporary closure of mosques will be lifted as soon as the epidemiological situation is back to normal in the country, the Supreme Council underlines in a release.
In the current circumstances marked by the continuity of measures aimed at stopping the spread of the pandemic, the Supreme Council stresses that the reopening of mosques will take place in due course and in close coordination with the Ministry of Health and the relevant authorities, while taking into account the epidemiological situation in the country.
The Supreme Council mentions in this regard several considerations to explain the decision and underlines that collective prayers in the malekite rite are performed by drawing a line without distance, but without any rigorism or affectation.
One of the conditions of prayer is tranquility and the absence of fear that a danger may arise due to assembly, the source says, adding that prayer is based on certainty and cannot be associated with any doubt.
