Morocco records 71 new coronavirus cases, 72 recoveries in 24 hours

Seventy-one (71) new coronavirus cases and 72 new recoveries have been recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, announced on Wednesday the Ministry of Health.

This new figure brings to the total number of coronavirus cases in the Kingdom to 8,508 and total number of recoveries to 7,565, said Dr Mouad Mrabet, coordinator of the National Center for Public Health Emergency Operations at the ministry of health, in a statement aired by MAP on its television channel M24 and on RIM RADIO.

A new death has been recorded, bringing the death toll to 211, he said, adding that the fatality rate remains at 2.5%, while the recovery rate is 88.9%.

The ministry invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health security as well as the preventive measures taken by the authorities, by showing responsibility and patriotism.
