King Mohammed VI successfully underwent a medical intervention, Sunday, at the royal palace clinic in Rabat, read a communiqué issued by the his medical team.

The sovereign suffered a heart rhythm disorder known as atrial flutter but his heart was healthy. The doctors recommended a complementary radiofrequency ablation for the arrhythmia, which took place on Sunday, June 14, at the clinic of the Royal Palace in Rabat.

The non-surgical procedure was successful, like the previous intervention carried out on February 26, 2018 in Paris, which resulted in the restoration of normal heart rhythm, wrote the King’s medical team composed of Dr Abdelaziz Maouni, Dr Olivier Thomas, Dr Olivier Dubourg, Dr Ali Chaib, Dr Lahcen Belyamani.
