Morocco records 54 new coronavirus cases, 8,985 in total

54 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 8,985, the health Ministry announced.

In a recent update, the Ministry reported that 454,172 suspected cases have tested negative for the virus so far. While deaths related to the coronavirus stand at 212, the number of Covid-19 patients who recovered in the Kingdom has reached 7,960.

The confirmed coronavirus cases in the Kingdom are located as follows : 32.77% in Casablanca-Settat, 18.29% in Marrakech-Safi, 15.33% in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, 11.81% in Fez-Meknes, 6.52% in Daraa-Tafilalet, 9.98% in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, 2.22% in the Oriental region, 2.21% in Beni-Mellal-Khenifra, 1.00% in Souss Massa, 0.53% in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 0.07% in Laayoune-Sakia-El Hamra, 0.06% in Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab.
