118 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco between Saturday evening and Sunday at 10 am, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 9,957, the Health Ministry announced.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Laayoune-Sakia Al Hamra region, with 37 new cases. 26 of the new cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi and 20 in Casablanca-Settat. The Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, which had seen the discovery of coronavirus hotspots earlier this week, recorded only 6 new cases.
Recoveries in Morocco jumped to 8,249, with 26 new ones recorded during the same period. The death toll stands at 2013, the ministry added.
