Morocco : Cameroonian migrant arrested for assault and battery resulting in death

The Marrakesh judicial police arrested Thursday an irregular migrant of Cameroonian nationality for his alleged involvement in a case of assault and battery resulting in death, and illegal residence.

A statement from the National Police (DGSN) said that the suspect had assaulted and beaten a migrant from Guinea Conakry and killed him using a knife in the Mellah district in Marrakesh, before being arrested by the police who also seized the knives used in this crime.

The suspect was placed in police custody for the judicial investigation carried out by the judicial police under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office to shed light on the ins and outs of this case, concluded the press release.
